Kalm is a village in Final Fantasy VII located just outside of Midgar. Unlike the massive bustling metropolis nearby, Kalm is relatively calm. It is a tiny hamlet with only a few shops, a pub, and an inn. The economy is based mostly upon mining in the Mythril Mines.

Racing chocobos are bred here. You can purchase all sorts of chocobo goodies here, and not to mention you can catch chocobos on the chocobo tracks just outside of the town.

It is a huge fort, near Junon. A Condor, incubating its egg, sits on the top of the fort at all times, covering up the Mako Reactor on top. Our heroes stop here at the time for refreshment. Shinra once tried to steal the huge materia sitting within the egg.

It used to be a peaceful fishing village before Shinra took over the city and built a smaller version of Midgar over the top of the village. It became the secondary headquarters for the Shinra Corporation and the central office for the Vice President, Rufus Shinra. Junon sports Shinra's major defense project, the Sister Ray, which is eventually moved to Midgar by Scarlet under orders from Rufus. Junon is a major port, having a Submarine dock below in the Junon Underwater Reactor and being one of the ports of call for the Cargo Ship.

Costa Del Sol is a coastal resort town that also serves as the main port on the western continent. Many people use the beaches here or usually stay here on their breaks - mainly many of the Shinra workers. The town specializes in making softs.

North Corel is a town at the foot of Mt. Corel in Final Fantasy VII. It was built by the survivors of Corel, which was destroyed by Shinra. Since it is a relatively new settlement, the town is just a collection of crude dwellings, with little of the advanced technology that makes up human civilization on the Planet. It serves mostly as a stepping ground for the resort of Gold Saucer.

The Gold Saucer in Final Fantasy VII is a towering amusement park, built on Corel's ruins and operated by Shinra.The games in the Gold Saucer does not use Gil, instead it uses GP as a currency to pay. It is divided up into seven Squares, most of which consist of minigames.

Gongaga Village is a foothill town in Final Fantasy VII, located south of Gold Saucer. Thanks to a disaster, the town has been badly damaged. As a visitor enters, they will see a fork in the road. The left path leads to the town, but the right leads to the burned-out Mako Reactor.

Cosmo Canyon is a location in Final Fantasy VII. It is also known as the "Valley of the Fallen Star". It is a pilgrimage site for those who wish to pursue the study of Planet life, and home to an observatory from which the Planet and its surroundings can be studied. The eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE was founded in Cosmo Canyon by an unknown person at an unknown time. The members of Red XIII's Tribe are the guardians of this land. Every fifty years a male and female of the species perform a rite to appease the Planet.

Nibelheim is a small mountain village at the foot of Mt. Nibel, and near Cosmo Canyon in Final Fantasy VII. It is the hometown of both Cloud Strife and Tifa Lockhart. Years ago, something terrible happened there, although it was covered up and never revealed to the public. Afterwards, Shinra claimed their hero, Sephiroth, to be dead. Most of the Sephiroth Clones, waiting for the Reunion, can be found all around the town. There is a Mako Reactor located on nearby Mt. Nibel. The Shinra Mansion is the most prominent structure in the town.

Rocket town, a small village not far from Nibelheim where Cid is originally from. The town is regularly used by the Shinra for their own purposes. The rocket was once used to battle meteor but did not succeed in its mission.

The Sleeping Forest is a forest on the Northern continent in Final Fantasy VII. It is just located directly between the Bone Village and the Forgotten Capital.

It is believed to be the Cetra's old city, containing secrets and mysteries. The Forgotten Capital is a ruined city in Final Fantasy VII. It is located on the arctic Northern Continent, just after the Sleeping Forest and far to the East of Icicle Inn.

The town functions as a resort because it snows year-round. The constant cold temperatures are not due to the location of the town, which is somewhat polar, but actually because of the town's proximity to the Northern Crater, where the planet uses a large amount of Mako to try to heal itself.

The northern cave where Sephiroth was hiding. The wound is still deep obviously the planet still tries to heal itself, from the calamity Jenova who fell thousands of years ago. It is a massive crater that takes up much of the Northern Continent. Because the Crater is such an enormous wound to the Planet, huge amounts of Mako are brought here to heal it. This makes most of the Northern Continent a frozen desert.
